We had a great turnout at our meeting last week held at Maggianos. Thank you again to F5 for the sponsorship! More than 120 people packed the place out to hear from Scott and Dean of the FBI as well as enjoy some great eats.
As part of the event, we had the special opportunity to invite members of the CyberPatriot Club from John Overton High School and F5 graciously donated an iPad mini to Mary York, the IT Academy Coach for the school. Over lunch, Mary let us know the club is in desperate need of laptops for the students. In an effort to further the club’s mission, InfraGard Middle Tennessee has setup a fund in order to raise enough money to purchase three laptops for the club members. Please help us reach our $3K goal by donating personally and inquiring with your place of employment for donations. Also please reach out to your networks to spread the word! Find out more information and donate here.
Lastly, we did not have the new InfraGard ID cards at the event last week, although they have been printed. We are planning a new member orientation event for April and will make sure to bring the ID cards to that event. Realizing most members will not be at that event we will be sure to bring the cards to the other future events as well until they are distributed. Our apologies for the miscommunication.
